Vincent (Vinnie) Joseph DeAngelis, 91, of Rome, passed away on April 25th, 2020, after a brief illness. He was born on January 12th, 1929 in Canastota, New York, the son of the late Louis and Nunziata Morabito DeAngelis. On June 20th, 1953 he married Elena (Helen) Santoro, a blessed union of 59 years, until her passing on March 28th, 2013. For years Vinnie was the proud owner of Seneca Welding and Fabricating located in Canastota, NY. A dedicated tradesman, Vinnie worked all his life to attain his business. Vinnie learned his trade while working at Nolan Corporation in Rome, NY. During his time there, he met and fell in love with Helen. With her support, he began the journey to self-employme

Carmella “Carm” Patane

Carmella “Carm” Patane, 95, of Rome, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 I Bethany Gardens. She was born on November 10, 1924 in Rome, a daughter of Anthony and Rosaria Verrenti Puglio. On October 28, 1944 she married Joseph M. Patane, Sr. He passed away on January 3, 1982. She attended Rome Schools. She had worked for many years as a clerk in many retail stores. She was the chairman of the Oneida County Republican Committee. Carm is survived by her beloved family, a daughter and son-in-law, Sara Ann (Maynard) Cosnett of Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. (Joanne) Patane, Jr., of Rome; cherished grandchildren, Billy Vinci, Kristy (Danny) Isom, Jaime (Dan) Carraher, Joseph M. P

Kathleen “Kathy” Gilbert

Kathleen “Kathy” Gilbert, 73, of Rome, passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 10, 2020. She was born on September 29, 1946 in Rome the daughter of Nicholas P. and Joanna C. Dandino Bottini. On October 19, 1974 in Rome, she married Harold Gilbert, a blessed union of 45 years. Kathy was deeply involved with family and friends and attending services at St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed following her husband around the world during his service with the US Air Force. Kathy is survived by her beloved family, her husband Harold “Howie”, a sister Elizabeth (Peter Fox) Bottini, nieces and nephews, Mark A. (Anne) Bottini, Nicholas P. (Angela) Bottini and Gary M. (Terri) Bottin
