Kathleen “Kathy” Gilbert

Kathleen “Kathy” Gilbert, 73, of Rome, passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 10, 2020.

She was born on September 29, 1946 in Rome the daughter of Nicholas P. and Joanna C. Dandino Bottini. On October 19, 1974 in Rome, she married Harold Gilbert, a blessed union of 45 years.

Kathy was deeply involved with family and friends and attending services at St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed following her husband around the world during his service with the US Air Force.

Kathy is survived by her beloved family, her husband Harold “Howie”, a sister Elizabeth (Peter Fox) Bottini, nieces and nephews, Mark A. (Anne) Bottini, Nicholas P. (Angela) Bottini and Gary M. (Terri) Bottini; great nieces and nephews, Nicholas (Kendra) Bottini, Krista Bottini, Adam Bottini, Nichole (Jeremy Whitehurst) Bottini and Nicholas P. (Sara) Bottini, Jr. and several cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Delores Bottini; two brother’s and a sister-in-law, Paul M. Bottini and Nicholas A. (Diane) Bottini.

Due to the COVID-19 Virus, there will be no services or calling hours. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.

The family requests donations in Kathy’s name may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
