Carmella “Carm” Patane
Carmella “Carm” Patane, 95, of Rome, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 I Bethany Gardens.
She was born on November 10, 1924 in Rome, a daughter of Anthony and Rosaria Verrenti Puglio. On October 28, 1944 she married Joseph M. Patane, Sr. He passed away on January 3, 1982. She attended Rome Schools. She had worked for many years as a clerk in many retail stores. She was the chairman of the Oneida County Republican Committee.
Carm is survived by her beloved family, a daughter and son-in-law, Sara Ann (Maynard) Cosnett of Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. (Joanne) Patane, Jr., of Rome; cherished grandchildren, Billy Vinci, Kristy (Danny) Isom, Jaime (Dan) Carraher, Joseph M. Patane III; great grandchildren, Ryan Vinci, Dylan (Colin) Isom, Gemma Carraher and Hugo Carraher. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, a son-in-law, Bill Vinci, sisters, Mary Iannone, Antoinette Goodman and Gloria Hinds; brothers Joe Puglio, Leo Puglio, Dominick Puglio, Gary Publio and Anthony Puglio.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Bethany Gardens, especially the 6th floor, for their kindness and care that was provided to Carmella over the past two years.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus, funeral services will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial at Transfiguration Church and calling hours will be held later. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
