Michael Joseph Conover

Michael Joseph Conover, 35, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in his home after battling an addiction. Michael was born on September 16, 1984. He was predeceased by his mother, Cindy Conover in 1994. He leaves behind a daughter Elena and her two step sisters Riley and Olivia and his brother Paul. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Michael will be laid to rest next to his mother Cindy on Saturday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Vernon. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.

Dominick “Duck” Ferrare

Dominick “Duck” Ferrare, 86, of Rome, passed away at home on July 8, 2020. He was born on August 25, 1933 in Rome the son of Anthony and Florence Mecca Ferrare. He graduated from RFA and Utica College. He enrolled in the US Navy and proudly served from 1952 to 1956. He then taught for 30 years in the Boonville School System until his retirement. Duck enjoyed playing pool at AJ’s Pool Hall. On weekends after teaching, he came back to Rome and could be found sitting on the end stool at the Savoy Restaurant enjoying a drink and smoking his “stogie” cigars. It is with great sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Joseph “Joe” Brawdy on July 4, 2020. He was born on August 26, 1979 in Rome to John J. and Carol A. Dellork Brawdy. Joe was predeceased by his dad, John J., maternal grandparents Frank and Mary Dellork, paternal grandparent Berhardine Brawdy and his uncle Mark McGowan.
