Yvonne Parker, 80, of Rome passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

   Yvonne was born in Fall River, MA on November 29, 1944, the daughter of Joseph Parker and Frances Markiz. She worked for the Rome Daily Sentinel until her retirement. Yvonne was the past Women’s President and member of the Rome Moose. She loved playing bingo and was obsessed with her jewelry from Avon. She enjoyed watching wrestling, especially her favorite wrestler “The Rock”, Clint Walker and westerns. She loved listening country music.

   Yvonne is survived by her children Carol Ingraffia and Tony Grasse both of Texas; her sisters Rita Marcello of Rome, Marie Eyler of Portand OR, June Stavem of San Diego CA, and Joanne Parker of Washington; grandchildren, nephews and nieces, especially niece Kathy Whyte who took great care of Yvonne. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings Kathryn Worden, Joseph Parker Jr. and her twin sister Yvette Parker who passed away at the age of 3 months.

The family would like to thank Bethany Gardens Nursing Home, Rehab Unit for her care. The family would also like to thank Rome Hospital ER and Upstate Medical Center ICU who did their best to keep Yvonne comfortable. Niece, Kathy Whyte would also like to thank her family for putting their trust in her in taking care of Yvonne.

   There will be no services or calling hours. The family will have a Celebration of Life in August.
