William “Billy” Enslin, 66, of Rome passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

   Billy was born on June 5, 1959 in Tonawanda, son of Dale Enslin and Donna Mummert Daniello, step-son of Francis (Fran) Daniello. He attended Rome Free Academy and became a master automotive mechanic. Billy was the proud owner and operator of Gurley & Fleet Towing & Recovery.

   Billy was a street racing legend in the 80’s and 90’s with his iconic 1966 Chevelle and was an avid motorcross enthusiast with close friend Ron Daignault (#118). Billy loved nothing more than catching a good Yankees game, working in his garage, and lending a hand to friends and neighbors. He was an avid history buff and a dedicated collector, always eager to share his knowledge.

Billy is survived by his children Jason and Sarah Enslin of Webster NY, Elyssa Enslin of NJ, Alexis and Adam Santana of NV; grandchildren Madison and Colton Enslin, and Dakota Santana; sister Jennifer and Joe Fazio; and step-father Fran Daniello. Billy is predeceased by his parents, brothers Dale and Michael Enslin, and sister Michelle Daniello Crippen.
