Thomas J. Morrill

Mr. Thomas J. Morrill, 72, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the Oneida Health Care Center, Oneida, with his loving wife by his side.

Tom was born on August 6, 1953 in Lowville, and he was very proud of his Cherokee-Mohawk heritage. Tom married his wife Sonia on November 11, 2010. Tom retired from the NYS Thruway Authority after 27 years of loyal service as a heavy-machine operator. Tom was also a jack of all trades, having experience doing electrical, plumbing, general construction and landscaping around his home. Tom enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, riding on his tractor, cooking on his grill, and listening to a wide range of music. Tom was also a dedicated husband and grandfather; he always made sure everyone was provided for and taken care of

Tom is survived by his devoted wife Sonia, his step-son Mario, grandson Wolfgang, and his beloved canine companion Bella.

In keeping to his wishes, Tom’s funeral and burial services will be held privately at the family’s convenience. No public services.

His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo Street, Rome.
