Sharron Thompson
Sharron Thompson, 79, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
Sharron was born in Linton, IN on February 23, 1943, a daughter of Ivan and Betty Brown. She attended Lyons Marco School in Lyons, IN. On November 17, 1962, she married Miles A. Thompson in Lyons, IN, a blessed union of 53 years until his passing on December 22, 2015. She enjoyed basketball, gardening, humming birds, and baseball. She loved watching her grandson play baseball. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Eastern Star in Indiana.
Sharron is survived by her beloved children: Pamela (Bill) Miller of Lafayette IN, Miles (Brandi) Thompson II of Linton IN, Michael (Amy) Thompson and Mark (JoAnn) Thompson of Rome; seven cherished grandchildren: Ryan (Ashley) Thompson, Donnie (Kristin) Miller, Bradley Miller, Brandon Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson, Kyle Thompson, Jenny Palmer, and Tallen Heffner; seven great-grandchildren, Avalon Holmes, Madi, Cooper, Kinley, Kerrigan, and Raylan Miller, and Logan Palmer. She is survived by her sister Cheryl Ann Robertson and brother Robert (Liz) Brown.
Sharron was predeceased by her parents; her husband Miles; sister Linda Laughlin and son Robert Glenn Thompson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 West Embargo. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 – 6 p.m. Interment will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Lyons IN. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Tappet-Twirlers Car Club. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
