Ralph A. Froio Jr., aged 86, of Clinton, New York, passed away on May 20, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Ralph was born on May 6, 1940, in Rome, New York, to Ralph Froio Sr. and Rose Gennaro Froio. He was a long-term resident of Rome and a graduate of Rome Free Academy. Ralph married MaryAnn Bello on April 20, 1968, in Utica, New York. They recently celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Professionally, Ralph was a trusted financial planner for more than 30 years. Equally invested in his community, he was a lifelong champion for local youth and civic organizations. He spent over 15 years coaching youth hockey and baseball, lent his leadership to the Rome High School Building Committee and Rome Housing Committee, and served on the boards of the New York State Green Thumb Program and the Rotary Club of Rome. Ralph had a deep faith as a Roman Catholic and shared his love for God with the community, including through his time as a religious education teacher. He prayed to Saints Padre Pio and
Carlo Acutis. Donations can be made in Ralph’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, an
organization he deeply supported.
Ralph is survived by his wife MaryAnn; his children Robert Froio and Sharon and Bill Roberts; his grandchildren Abby and Justin, Danielle, Maggie, Anna, and Brooklynn; his great-granddaughter Gia; and his sister Theresa Barone.
