Nancy Ann Kolasz, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Oneida Healthcare. Born on March 25, 1949, in Rome, she was the daughter of Joseph F. and Theresa Serrani Iodice.

    Nancy was a proud graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1967, where she enjoyed being a member of the cheerleading squad. On January 21, 1983, she married the love of her life, Aquilino William Kolasz Sr.

    For 42 years, Nancy devoted her career to the CNYDSO, where she cared deeply for each of her clients and built lasting friendships with her coworkers. She will be remembered for her compassion, dedication, and ability to brighten the lives of those around her.

    A woman of many joys, Nancy was an avid bocce player and enjoyed bowling in her younger years. A devout Catholic, her life was guided by kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Church, where she found strength, purpose, and community.

    Nancy’s greatest pride was her family, who will forever cherish her love and devotion. She is survived by her daughters, Tonya M. Trificana, and Danielle (Matthew) Lubecki ; her son, Aquilino W. (Amanda) Kolasz Jr.; and her adored grandchildren: Michael A. Henderson, Matteo J. Lubecki, Alexandria M. Lubecki, Shay J. Kolasz, Marcus W. Lubecki, and Van W. Kolasz. She is also survived by her sister Donna Schebel (Howard Noethiger); sister-in-law Elizabeth Iodice; sister and brother-in-law Dr. Tom and Sandra Dale, PA; brothers-in-law Stanley J. Kolasz and Roger Trificana, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Aquilino, sister Diane Iodice, brother Richard Iodice, and first husband, Robert Trificana.

    Nancy’s legacy of love, beauty, and faith will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

   Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick Street, with calling hours at the Church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Rome, honoring Nancy’s lifelong love of animals.
