Matthew Steven True
Matthew Steven True, 33, of Rome, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
Matt was the son of Susan Christian and Steven True, and was raised in the Ohio, New York area, attending Poland Central Schools.
Matt was employed with various contractors over the years and was a hard worker in the construction field. Matt will be deeply missed by his many co-workers who became friends and like family to him and will always remember Matt’s catchphrase on the job, “Move out of the way, you gotta want it”.
Matt was predeceased by both of his parents. He is survived by his siblings and their families: Brian True, Nathan True, Melissa True, and Ava Mitchell; a special nephew Russell True, along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved cat.
A Celebration of Matt’s life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
