Louise N. DiFondi
Louise N. DiFondi, 86, of Rome, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Rome Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 12, 1934 in Rome the daughter of Edgardo and Ausilia Morino Biondi. On July 2, 1955 in St. John the Baptist Church she married Nicholas M. DiFondi who passed away on October 26, 2008.
Louise was a graduate of RFA class of 1951. She worked as a legal secretary for many years. She was an avid reader and loved the feeling of a book in her hands; she was an artist and golfer.
Louise is survived by her beloved family, her daughters Cathy (David) Castor of Rome and JoAnn (Keith) Johnson of Lakeland, FL.; cherished grandchildren Cristina Castor and Nicholas Johnson; a brother Edgardo Biondi of SC; a sister-in-law Faith Biondi of IN. and brother-in-law Jerry Dunnigan of OH.; many nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved; her special niece Marie Lynn Rossi who was like another daughter to her and lifelong friends Gen and Frank Combopiano. She was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law Giselda and Tony Rossi, Sr.; a brother Lou Biondi, sister-in-law Babe Biondi, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anna and Ed Iannone, Marie and Mario DiFondi and Sylvia DiFondi.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Rome Hospital 2N and ICU who cared for her, also her friends at The Terrace at Woodland for their care and compassion over the past 9 months.
Funeral services, under the direction of the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. will be celebrated in the spring.
