Linda Karen (Dote) Inman, 71, of Sauquoit, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Linda was born on January 14, 1954, daughter of the late George and Gwendolyn Dote. She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.
Linda gave a 13-year commitment to being a foster provider and mentored, cared for, and championed several foster children. Special mention to Elizabeth Richards, Kimberly Wilkinson, and Melissa Richards, who would remain daughters of the heart throughout her life.
She led a simple and full life with a huge impact on those who loved and knew her. She was as content in her craft room as she was camping and visiting with family and friends. In good weather, she looked forward to long bike rides in the North Country with her husband Vern and are among her favorite memories.
In the cold months (which she hated), she enjoyed visiting and playing games; her favorites were dice games and pitch with family. While she loved Christmas, her favorite time of the year was Halloween, with fond memories of decorating and crafting costumes for the annual Halloween party. Family was important, and any chance to spend time with her grandchildren and watching them grow was important to her.
Linda is survived by her most loving husband Vernon A. Inman of 48 years, her children Jeremy V. (Liz) Inman, Danica H. (Joshua) Hoch; brothers Terry (Claudia “Cookie”) Dote and Brian (Cheryl) Dote; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents and grandson Brandon Jewett.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 5pm – 7pm at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo Street, Rome. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
