Kathryn Bottini

Kathryn (Kathy) Bottini, 88, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Rome Hospital.

Kathy was born in Rome on August 31, 1933 to Merrill and Norma Newcomb Hall. On August 31, 1957, she married Anthony (Buzz) Bottini in Hazelton, PA, a blessed union of 49 years. Anthony passed away on August 13, 2006.

Kathy owned and operated Buzz’s Inn from 1984 to 1995 with her husband. She was an avid Yankee fan and never missed a game, as well as being a Giants fan. She loved her trips to the Casino and lunches with her dear friend, Estelle Quinn.

Kathy is survived by her loving family; daughters Debbie Vaughn, Susan Sterling, and Kelly Muckey of Rome, Robin Warf of VA, Tracey (Ron) Schuler and Lisa (Mark) Austin of Rome; grandchildren Carrie (Zay) Simmons, Brandie (Tim) Wolfe, Joseph Bottini, Ronnie (Amanda) Richmond, Anthony Campanaro, Michael Campanaro, Roger (Tracy) Brooks, Ashley (Johnny) Brondsema, Trevor (Danielle) Warf; 26 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Richard and Grace Bottini, Virginia Miller, and Lucille Bostwick; and special cousin, Jane Gardner. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Anthony, daughter Becky Cook, son Joseph Bottini, son-in-law Roger Warf, grandson Justin Bottini, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ben and Judy Bottini, and sister-in-law Gilda Vergeline.

The family would like to thank Rome Hospital ICU, especially John Hawkins for his compassion and going above and beyond to make the hardest day a little easier.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 4, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm prior to the service. Services will be at 4 pm with the Reverend Joseph Sestito at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
