Kathleen Ann Tucker

1951-2024

Kathleen Ann “Staaf” Tucker, lovingly known as Gigi, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the age of 72. Her granddaughter, Megan, was by her side. She was born on November 10, 1951, in Butler, PA, and most recently resided at Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville.

Kathy had a passion for classic rock, watching wildlife, and winning prizes at bingo to share with her loved ones. She spent many years working in the pharmacy at P&C in Sherrill and later became the customer service manager in Rome before retiring in 2015.

Kathy will be deeply missed by her surviving siblings, Susan Staaf and James (Jill) Staaf, her daughters, Amber (Michael) Bambino and Jamie Minckler, her grandchildren, Alexis, Megan, Kaitlyn, Layne, and Tyler, and her great-grandchildren, Azlynn and Luka, who she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Norma Staaf, as well as her baby sister, Patricia.

Known for her warm and friendly nature, Kathy made friends everywhere she went and left a lasting impact on those she encountered. She was cherished and well-loved by those fortunate enough to have known her. Kathleen's Methodist faith provided her with strength and guidance. Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

The family will plan a celebration of life around her birthday, in November. A special thank you to the staff at Rome Memorial Hospital and Sunset Nursing Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rome ASPCA can be made in her honor.
