  Joseph Barry Jr., 71, of Syracuse, formerly of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 in Syracuse.
  Joe was born on December 19, 1954, in Rome, the son of Joseph D, Barry and Marion Dunn. He was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of ’74, and attended Morrisville Community College. He was employed as a construction laborer. Joe was a member of All Saints Parish.
  Joe is survived by his sisters Judith A. Destito, Patti Barry, and Ellen Thompson; a special niece Robin Wolff. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Kevin J. Barry.
  Per Joe’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Private burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo Street, Rome.
