John E. Grant Sr, 82, of Taberg passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, August 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 25, 1943 in Rome, and was the son of Earl and Loretta Grant. On December 14, 1963, John united in marriage to Betty Ann Zarrelli, blessed union of 50 years. Betty passed away on January 26, 2014.
John is survived by his family: a son John E. Grant Jr of TN; daughters and sons-in-law Lisa Grant of Taberg, Denise (James) Magee of Taberg, and Karen (Scott) Abbott of Rome; grandchildren Robbie and Michael Grant, Lisa (Torey) Rutledge, Mintamarie (Ruben) Adorno, Scott Abbott Jr, Demi (Dylan) Cadrette, Teisha (Eric) Centro, and Mercedez Dosztan; and several great- grandchildren. He is survived by longtime friends of the family Dale Dosztan and the late Kimberly Thompson.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated aides who worked tirelessly for John throughout the years.
Services are private with no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
