Janet O. Renzi
Janet O. Renzi, 66, of Rome, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Watertown on March 29, 1955, the daughter of Claude and Virginia Outwater.
Janet graduated from Rome Free Academy, Class of 1973. On June 29, 1984, she married Angelo J. Renzi, Sr. in Rome. They were married until 2001, a union of 17 years. Janet worked for CNY DSO, Direct Care Staff/Professional from 1973 until her retirement in 2011. She was a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls Eastern Star, the Rome Women of the Moose Club, and a member of the Zion Episcopal Church.
Janet is survived by her beloved family: sons Matthew David Renzi and his fiancé Sarah White, and Angelo “AJ” Renzi, Jr. and his wife Joann; daughter Maria Jo Renzi; eight grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and sister-in-law Brenda Outwater and Cindy DeProspero-Outwater; brothers and sisters-in-law Eric Ringrose and his fiancé Chris McCorduck, and Larry Ringrose and his wife, Joanne. Janet was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Virginia Outwater.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Zion Episcopal Church, 140 W. Liberty Street with Fr. Jim Heidt officiating. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 9 to 10 a.m.
Contributions in Janet’s name may be made to the Zion Episcopal Church for the mitten tree. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
