Doris G. Crawn
Doris G. Crawn, 93, of Sidney NY, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 peacefully after a long illness.
Doris was born on May 26, 1929, the daughter of Stephen and Gertrude Benson Hicks. She attended Roxbury High School in New Jersey and graduated in 1947. On July 3, 1949 she married Willard J. Crawn Jr., a blessed union of 72 years until his passing on July 3, 2021. Doris was a homemaker and mother of three. Her hobbies were reading and cooking.
Doris is survived by her beloved family; her son, Willard J. III; two daughters, Bonnie (Lawrence) E. Natarelli and Donna Verbeke; cherished grandchildren, Billie Jo Northrup, Jessica Perusse, Willard Crawn IV, Autumn O’Boyle, Joseph Crawn, Lindsay Natarelli, Nathanael Verbeke, Carol King and Amanda Arruda; nineteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Joan Davenhauer and brother, Donald Hicks, both of FL; sisters-in-law, Kay Thomas and Virginia Carson. She was preceded by her loving husband, Willard and her grandson, Joel Verdeke.
Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Flanders Cemetery, NJ.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
