Debra A. Fey, 64, of Rome, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 peacefully in her home.
Born on November 27, 1960, she was the daughter of Howard Hitchcock and Dorothy Mae Clifford Albanoski. She attended Rome schools and was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On October 10, 1981, Debra was united in marriage to Dale Fey; a blessed union of 41 years until his passing in December 2023.
Debra had previously been employed as a department manager at Kmart and assistant manager of Wood Forest Bank. She was also the owner and creator of Hummingbird Creations. Debra enjoyed crafting, Bingo, playing cards and reading. She took great pride and compassion caring for others, to “pay it forward” in such a way that their families hope they have done enough for Deb to show their gratitude. She was a parishioner of St. Peter’s Church.
Debra is survived by her brothers and sister-in-law Ricky Albanoski, Johnny Albanoski, and Raymond (Nancy) Hitchcock; her niece Candace Albanoski Wolff, and cousin Lenny (Nancy) Hitchcock. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband and her brother Joseph Albanoski.
Sincerest thanks to Barbara Libby, Deb’s devoted best friend for her extraordinary compassion and dedication in caring for Deb daily, throughout her short but intense struggle with pancreatic cancer, right up to her last breath. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Desiree Cossitt-Davis for her kindness, loving care, dedication, and friendship so freely given to Deb. Her support truly made a difficult time more bearable.
Per her wishes, there will be no services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.

This is so beautiful and it fits Deb perfectly. Ty for being such a special friend to her. Your a beautiful soul.
My grandma was one of the very most loved and precious parts of my entire life, and was one of the last of those people that Deb took such great care of, for almost 4 years she would spend time at my house, interacting with and becoming part of our family. After sticking by me through the loss of my grandma, Deb continued to be a great friend to my family, always willing to lend a hand, or come sit with our animals while we were away racing on the weekends. She was the best type of friend because no matter how long between times we’d talk on the phone or get together, it never seemed like any time…
