Dakota J. Little

Dakota J. Little , age 27, Oneida, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Dakota was born on June 27, 1996 in New Hartford, the son of Rodney Little and Mary Ceci-Little.  He was a graduate of VVS High School and Mohawk Valley Community College.   Dakota had been employed by Lockheed Martin of Liverpool and had worked previously for Ricky’s Tire & Auto Center, AutoZone,Nicky Doodles of Verona, Bray’s Auto Sales, andValet at Turning Stone Casino.  He loved working on cars, and enjoyed hunting, snowboarding, golfing, snowmobiling, and he loved cats.  He was always ready for a road trip.

Dakota was a loyal friend; always helping others.  He carried tools in his car so that he was ready to help when needed.  If your car broke down or if you needed a ride, you could always call Dakota at any time of the day or night.  He lived to take care of his mother, sister and brother, always putting their needs before his own.  He had a heart of gold, even as a young child, not wanting to see anyone hurt or left out.  He will forever be known as a “Junkyard Dog” by his brother Dawson.  A special thank you to Joe Coe for spending many hours teaching Dakota how to repair cars and to Jayme Coe, Dakota’s lifelong friend.  He will be forever loved and missed by his family.

Dakota is survived by his parents, his sister Bianca Little, his brother Dawson Little, his maternal grandmother Jean Barone-Ceci, his paternal grandfather Robert Little, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Vincent Ceci and his paternal grandmother Mary Dorn-Little.

Per the request of the family, there will be no calling hours or services.
