Cynthia D. Pliniski
Cynthia D. Pliniski, 69, a resident of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on Friday February 5, 2021 after a brief illness surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 21, 1951 in Rome, a daughter of the late James and Bronia Pliniski. She graduated from RFA in 1969 and from Oswego State University in 1974. Cynthia worked as a property manager for Buck Property Management, Whitesboro, and then at DFAS until her retirement in 2015. Cindi loved reading, crossword puzzles and gardening.
Cindi will be sadly missed by her significant other, John Giachetti, brother and sister-in-law Donald and Rosemarie Pliniski; niece and nephew Melissa and Jeffrey Lanigan; a great nephew Connor Lanigan; many special cousins; a special longtime friend Kathy Perez and her beloved cat “Georgie”.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 10th at 12 noon at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. John’s Endowment Fund or to the Humane Society of Rome, P.O. Box 4572, Rome, NY 13442. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Masks and social distancing are required both at the funeral home during calling hours and at the church.
