Charles R. Pelano, Jr.
Charles R. Pelano, Jr. 51, of Rome, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 in Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse.
He was born on November 15, 1969 in Rome a son of Charles, Sr. and Linda Kolhepp Pelano. On May 23, 1992 in Rome he married Alexandria Smith. He was a graduate of RFA. He worked as a laborer at Panasci Excavating with his best friend Todd Panasci. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his other best friends, his son Kyle and David Zakala; riding his Harley, going to Disney World and cooking. He was a Chief of VIP’s (Volunteers in Police Service) and a member of the Camden Rod & Gun Club.
Charlie is survived by his beloved family, his wife Alexandria; his mother Linda; a daughter Katrina (Bryan) Antolin of Lee Center; a son Kyle Pelano of Rome; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jody (Pete) Fitzgerald of Cleveland, NY, Tammy (Eric) Sochia of Rome and Tina Pelano of Rome;
brothers-in-law, Adam (Lisa) and John Smith; sisters-in-law, Chrissy Racino and Tammy Smith as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Charles, Sr. and father-in-law Gale Smith.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. with the Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating. Interment will be in Rome Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. The entire service is non-formal; please come as you are.
