Caroline Marie Ward
In loving memory of a devoted mother and wife, you will forever be missed.
In the early hours of May 17, 2021, Caroline passed away peacefully with her loved ones around her.
Caroline was born and raised in Rome, NY on February 26, 1941 to the late Woodrow and
Marion VanCourt. She was educated in Rome City Schools and later joined in union to Brian Ward on December 6, 1991 where they spent 31 beautiful years together.
As the matriarch of her family, she devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren, with special mention to Anthony Aldi, Jordan Brown, and Tyler Brown.
She was predeceased by her parents Woodrow and Marion VanCourt, her son Donovan Case Jr., her daughter Shelly Case.
She leaves behind her children and their loved ones; Allen and Amanda Case, Russell and Laurie Case, David Case and Lisa, Gordon Case, Jeff Case and Keith, Deborah Groves, Melissa Case and Daniel, William Brown, Roberta Brown and Carlos, Woodrow Sr. and Diana Brown, Edward Jr. and Lori Brown, Hope and Donald Drake, Richard Sr. and Tammy Brown, Steven Brown, and Marion and Charles Thayer. Caroline also leaves a long legacy with many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Caroline’s life will be commenced on Saturday, May 22, 2021, 4pm at 423 West Dominick St, Rome, NY. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects are invited to come.
