Burleigh Lou Redus
Burleigh Lou Redus, born Feb. 4, 1932 to Lou E Redus and Theresa M Groff, passed away on July 16, 2021 in Rome, NY where he lived with his daughter, Barbara and her family.
He proudly served in the Air Force from 1951 -1971 and took great pride in his family, military career and his country.
He is survived by 3 sons, Steve (Belinda), Stanley, and Stuart (Kristi): 4 daughters, Barbara (Rocco) DeBlasiis, Brenda (Mike) Palma, Beverly Redus, and Bernice (Richard) Hendricks.
He has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rheta and his daughter, Betty Meyer/Redus.
His one request was to return to Castroville to be laid to rest amongst his family and friends and beside his wife, Rheta .
Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Saint Louis Catholic Cemetery, Castroville, Texas.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St., Rome, NY.
