Allan King

   Allan King, 89 of Blossvale, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 8, 2026, in the Abraham House, Rome, following a brief illness.

   He was born on February 23, 1937, in Sopron, Hungary, the son of the late Jozsef and Julianna Varga Boroczki and was educated in Hungary before migrating to the United States. Allan married the former, Patricia J. Christman on March 17, 1974. The couple settled in Blossvale, where they celebrated over fifty years of marriage before her passing on November 16, 2024.

   For many years, Allan was a full time tractor trailer operator for Rite Aid. Prior, he worked construction operating heavy equipment. Allan was always on the go. He also worked Woodstock ’99 and did lawncare, landscaping and tree removal. Allan was a dedicated member and volunteer for New London Fire Department. Allan loved going to camp, riding four wheelers, having cookouts and chewing on his cigars.

   He is survived by his brother, Zoltan Boroczki; his sister, Edit Boroczki; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jannetta and John Avery, James M. Farnam, Robert Kirk, Lawrence and Carol Hulbert, Harold Lynch; his nieces and nephews, Emily Farnam and children, Justin Farnam and children, David and Scott Coon, Barb Chirstman, Charlie Christman and Brenda Christman; along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.  Allan is predeceased by his parents, sisters-in-law, Marlene Kirk, Ann Lynch, Barb Schrieber; brothers-in-law, Louis Christman Jr., Addison Hulbert and Steven Beyette; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maeona and Louis Christman Sr..

   Allan’s graveside service will be held at a time to be announced on, Friday, July 24, 2026, in McConnellsville Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with Patty.    Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo Street, Rome.
