Leon L. Caporale

Leon L. Caporale, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 after a brief illness.

He was born in New York City on August 8, 1935, the son of Dominick and Anna Stellato Caporale. He proudly served with the US Army. Leon retired after many years in the food service industry as a chef.

Leon is survived by a brother Alfred Tofani of Liverpool; a sister-in-law Joan Tofani of Ilion; an aunt Gemma Smurlo of CA., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother John Tofani and a sister-in-law Kathryn Tofani.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours. Masks must be worn in church.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
