Mark A. McGowan

Mark A. McGowan, 61, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 with his loving family by his side.

He was born on November 4, 1957 the son of Francis and Mary Magnanti McGowan. He married Marilyn Dellork and had a blessed union for over 40 years.

He was a graduate of RFA. Mark worked as a correctional officer at Midstate Correction Facility.

Mark is survived by his beloved family, his wife Marilyn; sons, Stephen (Tina) McGowan and Mark (Ann) McGowan; granddaughters, Kylie, Liz and Allison; sisters, Mary Beth McGowan and Patricia (Bill) Baumeister; a brother John McGowan; special sister-in-law Carol Brawdy; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws Frank and Mary Dellork and a brother-in-law John Brawdy.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday, May 30, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, May 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
