Edward M. Barone, Jr.

Edward M. Barone, Jr., 67, of Rome, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 in the Rome Memorial Hospital.

He was born on January 8, 1952 in Rome a son of Edward M. and Doris Merritt Barone, Sr.

On January 11, 1992 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rome, he married Georgia Blanchard, a blessed union of 27 years.

He was a graduate of RFA. He had worked for 47 years as a machinist at Revere Copper and Brass, Inc. retiring in 2013. He was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Yankees and the NY Giants.

Edward is survived by his beloved family, his mother Doris; his wife Georgia; a special daughter April (Mark); three sons Eddie (Trisha), Rodney (Erica) and Mickey (Jessica); ten cherished grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis (Dr. Daniel) Cannucciari and Elaine (Edward) Petrucci; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alex (Carol) Barone and Robert (Amy) Barone; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Edward M. Barone, Sr.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Church prior to the Mass.
