Domenica Colasanti VanCourt

Domenica Colasanti VanCourt, 91, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Bethany Gardens.

She was born on September 9, 1927 in Rome a daughter of Dominick and Fortuna DelVecchio Colasanti. On September 27, 1947 in St. John the Baptist Church she married Francis A. VanCourt who passed away on October 24, 2007.

She was a graduate of RFA and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping at Chippawa Creek, Alexandria Bay, NY. Family was very important to her and she was loved by everyone.

Domenica, beloved mother, is survived by, a daughter Maryann (Vincent) Ebersole, Hershey, PA; a son Frank (Carol) VanCourt of Rome; cherished grandchildren, Breanne (David) Smith, Joshua (Tanya) VanCourt, Matthew VanCourt, Jennifer (Michael) Kern, Amanda (Thomas) Gish, Amy Quackenbush and Ryan Leffingwell, Deanna (Joshua) Eychner and Joseph Quackenbush; Great-grandchildren, Alexis, Cole, Zachary, Mason, Rylan, Ella, Cooper, Ryan, Jarrett, Tabitha, Lillian, Casey, Shea and Dallas; a brother, Anthony Colasanti and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son John; her daughters, Janet VanCourt and Francine Quackenbush; sisters, Carmella Stooks, Jennie Mastrangelo, Flora Greene and Sophie Tagliaferri; brothers, Louis, Alfred, Sr. and John Colasanti.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Abe Esper as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 at the church prior to the Mass.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
