Francis R. Ray

Francis R. Ray, Jr, 68, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital.

He was born on March 30, 1950 in Rome the son of Francis R. Sr. and Christine Giardino Ray. He was a 1968 graduate of RFA and Walsh College in 1972. He had worked at Ray’s Drive In, Loblaws Store, Nielsen TV Ratings, Westinghouse Broadcasting, Federal Communication Commission, and Music One of Tampa Fl. and Walsh College Work Study.

Francis enjoyed music, the Arts, drag racing, fishing, hunting, camping, swimming in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, motorcycling, and driving his 1966 Chevy Chevelle SS.

He is survived by a son Christopher (Carolina) Ray of Sanford, Fl., a granddaughter Sophia Ray; a sister, Denise (Jerry) Valliere of Portsmouth, RI and a dear friend Doreen Northway of Utica.

Funeral services are private. There will be no calling hours.

Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
