Francis V. “Frank” Frasca


Francis V. “Frank” Frasca, 88, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Bethany Gardens Skilled Nursing Center due to complications with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born on November 16, 1929 in Rome, a son of Enrico “Henry” and Immaculata “Martha” Campanaro Frasca, a family of eight sons and two daughters. Frank graduated from RFA and enjoyed being on the football team. He then went on to Purdue University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He retired from NASA as a contracting officer for the US Government at the Ames Research Center. He lived in California for 40 years.

Frank served proudly with the US Army from 1949 to 1951. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading and playing cards.

Frank is survived by his beloved family, a sister, Kathleen “Kay” Frasca; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Marie (Rizzo) Frasca, both of Rome; nieces, Martha (Richard), Barbara (Tom), JoAnne, Valerie (Howie), Lori, Karen (Sam) and Jamie; nephews, Edward (Sena), Richard (MaryJo), Philip, Henry, Mark, John and their families; sisters-in-law, Anna (Carrado) Frasca, Susanna (Puglia) Frasca, Patricia (Swistak) Frasca, and his good friends from California, Jennifer and Mike Kelley, Dr. Bernie and Maxine Froio, Eli, Vicky, Al, Joe, Kitt, Dave, and all his beloved friends at the Shoreline Golf Course and NASA.

He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Anania; brothers, Charles, Enrico “Ricky”, Lucas, Albert, Joseph and James Frasca; sisters-in-law, Lena (Gattari), Antoinette (Guida); nephews David Frasca and Albert Frasca Jr.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Gardens for their compassion and care of Frank.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Abe Esper as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
