Rosemary Colella Coccia

Rosemary Colella Coccia, 101, of Glens Falls and formerly of Rome passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Glens Falls Center.

She was born in Rome on December 30, 1916 a daughter of Donato and Vincenza Colella. She married Sisto T. Coccia in Rome on July 14, 1941. Sisto passed away on February 25, 1983. She was a graduate of RFA and worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Sisto’s Gulf Station and Coccia Bros Oil Company. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.

Rosemary is survived by her five children, Philip and Kathleen Coccia of Marcellus, James and Barbara Coccia of Queensbury, Stephen and Kay Coccia of Sylvan Beach, Kathleen Winberg of Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Elizabeth Coccia and her husband Dr. Matt Dunne of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters, Ann Angelo, Dominica Carletta, Lena Lamascola and Mary Colella; five brothers, Frank, James, Phillip, Michael and Joseph Colella.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Abe Esper as celebrant; where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rosemary’s memory to the Rome Jervis Library, 613 N. Washington St., Rome, NY 13440. Envelopes will be available at the church.
