Edward Jon Graziano


Edward Jon Graziano, 62, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 31, 2018

In Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester with his loving family by his side.

Ed was born in Rome on May 24, 1956, the son of the late Joseph F. and Barbara E. Sherman Graziano. He graduated from RFA in 1974 and participated in gymnastics and was an avid record setting lacrosse player at RFA.

Ed loved life to the fullest and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed his frequent trips to Alexandria Bay and Myrtle Beach, SC. He also loved skiing and snowmobiling and was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan, but, his true passion was for the game of golf and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Ed was able to enjoy both of these in the last few months of his life.

Ed is survived by his beloved family, a daughter Larisa M. Graziano; a son Paul Graziano and daughter-in-law, Sara Salmon; three beautiful grandchildren, Isaiah Harris and Nikko and Angelo Graziano all of Rome; a brother J. Michael Graziano of Rochester; a sister and brother-in-law Kathleen A. and William G. Pilson III of Charlston, SC and several beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their deepest heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Prasad and all the devoted staff of the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital for their love and exceptional care for Ed.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday afternoon from 4 to 7 at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
