Frances J. Gruby Walker

Frances J. Gruby Walker, 67, of Westernville, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at home in Westernville.

She was born on April 26, 1951 in Rome the daughter of Harvey C. and Vera F. Smith Gruby. On February 22, 1969 she married William J. Walker, Sr. who passed away on January 29, 2017.

Frances was a graduate of Holland Patent Central School. She worked as a supervisor with Developmental Disability Service Organization (DDSO) retiring in 2013. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the casino and baking, especially cheesecakes.

Frances is survived by her beloved family, daughters, Tammy (Jamie) Pomichter of Cold Brook and Penny Jo W. Curless of South Kortright; a son William (Nan) Walker, Jr. of Taberg; cherished grandchildren, Will, Jesse, Michael, Paul, Jimmy, Becca, Johnny, Sara and Michaela; two brothers, Bill (Amanda) Gruby of Westernville and Gerald (Darlene) Gruby of Little Falls; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Gretchen Boudreaux and a brother Harvey Gruby, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening at 5:00 at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. with Pastor Robert Wollaber officiating. Private interment will be in Westernville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 3 to 5 at the funeral home.
