Angelina Barr
Angelina Barr, 83, formerly of Franklyn St., Rome, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford.
She was born in Rome on March 26, 1935 the daughter of Giuseppe (Joseph) and Immaculata (Martha) DeCicco Iannotti.
Angeline graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1954 and Morrisville College of Nursing in 1957. She was an LPN at the Stonehedge Nursing Home for many years retiring in 2002.
She loved to read and spent much of her spare time at the Jervis Library. She was very involved in her church, the Life Church. One of her biggest joys was travelling, especially going to see her children and grandchildren whom she adored.
Angeline is survived by her beloved family, a son Charles Barr of Aspen, CO; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and William Kemme of Simpsonville, SC and Patricia and Daniel Briski of Iron, MN; cherished grandchildren, Angeline Briski, Elyse (Thomas) Jokinen, and Leah (Travis) Calgaro; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her brother Orlando Iannotti; three sisters, Roma DeMasi, JoAnn Kern and Yolanda Guaspari.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Presbyterian Home for taking such good care of her. They loved her and she loved them. The family can’t thank them enough.
A service will be held at a later date at St. John’s Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
