Sunday Ann Guy


Sunday Ann Guy, 70, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born on September 11, 1947 in Rome, a daughter of Henry “Hank” and Marie “Minnie” Antonucci. On January 13, 1968 in St. John the Baptist Church she married David L. Guy, a blessed union of 49 years.

She was a graduate of RFA, class of 1965. She had worked as a bakery and deli manager for Chicago Markets, Great American and after her retirement she worked part time at Walmart. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and watching her grandchildren playing sports.

Sunday Ann is survived by her beloved family, her husband David; sons and daughters-in-law, David H. and Marlee Guy, James R. and Lisa E. Guy and Michael J. and Barbara J. Guy, all of Rome; cherished grandchildren, Jonathon, Billy, Olivia, Colin and Peyton Guy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and David Bartolotti of FL and LuAnn and Phil Santaferrara of AL; a brother and dear friend, William H. Antonucci and Phyllis Vashio of Rome; a sister-in-law, Donna Antonucci of Rome; her mother-in-law, Rosemary Guy of Rome; a brother-in-law, Dennis Guy; a special Goddaughter, Tami White of Rome, several nieces and nephews and her beloved canine companion Nooch. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, John Antonucci and father-in-law, Fred Guy.

The family would like to thank Dr. Emile Wassel, Rome Dialysis Unit and ICU nurses at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Services will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Abe Esper as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the church Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the Mass.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
