Gregory “Lindy” Voci


Gregory “Lindy” Voci,92, of Rome, passed away on Monday December 19, 2016 in the Rome Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Rome the son of Gregory and Marianna Procopio. On May 19, 1960 he married Assunta “Sue” Ciccotti. She passed away on November 28, 1990.

He was a graduate of RFA. Gregory was a decorated combat veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He served in both the Navy and the Air Force, retiring after a 28 year military career. He was an avid bowler and golfer and is in the Rome Bowling Hall of Fame and enjoyed going to the Casino. He was a member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), the Toccolana Club and the American Legion.

Lindy is survived by his beloved family, a daughter Marion Pinti of Rome; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Gregory III and Laurie Voci of Victor, Dr. Paul and Jane Vaccaro of FL, Dr. John and Marcia Vaccaro of WA and Kenneth and Elizabeth Vaccaro of CA; cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Anthony Pinti, Lisa Pinti, Michael and Christine Vaccaro, Nicholas Vaccaro, Elizabeth and Nate Herd, Adam and Kelly Voci, Kara and Evan Boone; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Pinti, Joseph Pinti, Gabrielle Vaccaro, Alexander Vaccaro, Avery Belle Voci and McKenna Boone.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday morning, January 14 at 10:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 at the Church prior to the services.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
