Servio J. “Cy” Rossi

Servio J. “Cy” Rossi, 82, of Rome, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 in Rome Memorial Hospital.

He was born on July 20, 1934 in Rome a son of Emilio and Innocenza Mastracco Rossi.

On September 10, 1955 in St. John the Baptist Church he married Antoinette “Nettie” DeCarolis.

He graduated from RFA, class of 1952. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He worked at Erie Collision Service for 10 years. In 1967 he started employment at Rome Developmental Center as a therapy aide retiring in 1985.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting small and big game, travelling and going to the casino.

Cy is survived by his beloved family, his wife of 61 years, Nettie; two sons, Silvio “Cy” Rossi and friend Wendy Nester, and Michael and Lori Rossi; cherished grandchildren, Samantha Rossi and finacee’ Bill Kahler, Angela Rossi and Anthony Rossi and a sister-in-law, Providence “Tootsie” Rossi all of Rome. He was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Josephine and Sisto Martinelli; three brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Margaret Rossi, Frank Rossi and Michael Rossi.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cy’s memory to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
