Delores Angela (Pettinelli) Lyons

In loving memory of Delores Angela (Pettinelli) Lyons, 88 of Rome and Dover NH. She passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Dover closely surrounded by her family.

She was born in Rome on October 16, 1927 a daughter of Louis and Josephine Trino Pettinelli. She left Rome in 1966 to travel the world with her husband who was a member of the US Air Force. They lived in Europe and on the West Coast before coming to New Hampshire in 1972. She was fearless and did everything she wanted to do and tried to instill that love of adventure in her kids and grandkids.

What she loved most in the world was cooking for family and friends and being surrounded by her family.

Delores is survived by her beloved family, her husband of 55 years, TSGT (Ret) Herbert; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Steven Reynolds and Carol and Brian Manning of NH; a son and daughter-in-law, Alfred and Trina Lyons of Nottingham of NH; cherished grandchildren, Kristen (Woody), Maegan (Justin), Michael, Meghan (Jason), Breanna, Bailey, Lindsay, Timothy and Emily; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Olivia, Grady and Lawson; a sister Eleanor Clements; two brothers, Anthony (Carol) and Donald; a sister, Carol Pettinelli; sisters-in-law, Kay and Nancy; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Patrick Pettinelli and Louis Pettinelli Jr., a sister Marie Veschusio and a brother-in-law, Col. Phillip Clements.

Delores was deeply loved by her family and everyone who knew her.

A small private service was held for the immediate family. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
