Jayn S. Devlin Eggan

Jayn S. Devlin Eggan, 51, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 with her loving family by her side.

She was born on May 3, 1965 in Danbury, Ct, the daughter of John R. and Thirza Devlin. On May 8, 1993 in Rome she married Mark A, Eggan, a blessed union of 23 years. She was a graduate of RFA, class of 1983 and also attended Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. She was the office manager of Eggan Excavating and Environmental Services. She enjoyed fishing in Canada, a yearly trip with her husband Mark, and also going to the Casino.

Jayn is survived by her beloved family, her parents, John R. (a former US Marine) and Thirza Devlin; her husband Mark A. Eggan; a daughter and son-in-law, Gabrielle and Paul (serving with the US Navy) Trela, a son Andrew Eggan; a daughter Andreanna Eggan all of Rome; a brother and sister-in-law David and Aimee Devlin of Bozeman, MT; her in-laws, father-in-law and mother-in law, John D. Jr. "Jack" and Mary Eggan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John D. III, and Sandy Eggan and Douglas and Martha Eggan and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 11:00 at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. with the Rev. Frank G. Graichen of Trinity United Church of Christ as celebrant. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jayn's memory to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. or to the Trinity United Church of Christ. Envelopes will be available at the funeral Home.
