Jennie (Vincenzia) Facchino
Jennie (Vincenzia) Facchino, 88, of Rome, passed away on April 28, 2016, in the Rome Memorial Hospital with her loving family and friends by her side.
She was born March 8, 1928 in Rome, the daughter of Gaetano and Anna Mungari LaGatta. On June 5, 1948 she married Victor J. Facchino, a blessed union of 57 years. Victor passed away on July 26, 2005.
She graduated from RFA, the class of 1945. She retired as a stenographer from RADC, Griffiss Air Force Base. Jennie was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Church. She was a member of the Ava Dorfman Senior Center and the National Active Retired Federal Employees Association.
Jennie is survived by her beloved family, her daughters, Diane and Tom Beschle of Clayton and Dr. Vicki Cole of Cicero and her significant other Joseph Bellamo of Syracuse; cherished grandchildren, granddaughter Bethanie and Maj. Charles Fagerquist and a great-granddaughter Annika Fagerquist; two brothers, Alex and Rose LaGatta of Cairo and Pat LaGatta of Fl., sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Guy Ferlo of Rome; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a precious granddaughter Danielle Dawn Beschle and a sister Antoinette (Dolly) Lovett.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Angelo and Judy Cianfrocco and Mike Ferlo for their ongoing support and caring.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Private Interment in St. John's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Church prior to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jennie's memory to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
