Salvatore "Bones" Alonge
Salvatore "Bones" Alonge, 90, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Lake Havasu, Az.
He was born in Rome on August 11, 1925 a son of Stephano and Cecelia LaRegina Alonge. On September 21, 1957 he married his amazing wife Rosella Colagero in Utica, a fantastic union of 58 years, the most beautiful, loving couple you could ever meet. It was always such a joy to be with them. Bones had a sense of humor that was legendary.
He proudly served with the US Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict as an electrician mate.
He is survived by his loving wife Rosella, three generations of nieces, nephews and many friends that will greatly miss his warmth, humor and love. He was also survived by a brother-in-law Robert Anno and a sister-in-law, Shirley (Taverna) Alonge. He left us all such very special memories. A very special mention to his niece Sylvia and husband Bill Coyle and their loving family that were so near and dear to their hearts on a daily basis.
Bones was predeceased by his nine siblings,Florence (Joe) Scianni, Frances "Chickie" Anno, Angeline (Al) Coleman, Anna (Cliff) Burnett, Jessie (Louie) Piluso, Mary Maples and brothers Gerald, Paul and John.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. with the Rev. Joseph Sestito officiating.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
