Marion C. Falitico

Marion C. Falitico, 86, of Rome, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 in the Rome Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born on July 19, 1929 in Rome the daughter of Patrick and Mary Merola St.Thomas. On September 12, 1953 in St. John the Baptist Church she married John "Ben" Falitico who passed away on February 23, 2012.

She was a graduate of RFA. She enjoyed knitting and especially cooking and baking for her family. She was a devout member of St. John the Baptist Church.

Marion is survived by her beloved family, two daughters and sons-in law, Kathleen and Joseph Egitto of Marcy and Karen and Jeffrey Karas of Rome; a son John Falitico of FL; cherished grandchildren, Kara Egitto and her spouse J. Matthew Grubka, Jason Egitto, Daniel Karas, Alyssa Karas and Marissa and Ian Falitico; two great grandchildren, Addison and Alexander Grubka; a brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Agnes St.Thomas of Rome, a sister-in-law, Patricia St.Thomas of MS and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Peter St.Thomas.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Betsy Ross Rehabilitation Center and the Rome Memorial Hospital ER.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00 in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Church on Friday morning from 10:15 to 11:00 prior to the Mass.
