Lena M. Masucci

Lena M. Masucci, 95, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Colonial Nursing Facility.

She was born on December 3, 1919 in Oneida the daughter of Philip and Anna Ignazzitto.

Lena's favorite times were spent with her family surrounded by her children, grand children and great-grandchildren who lovingly had pet names for her. They referred to her as Ga, Nan, Lena Bell, Bell and Nonie No-No. They loved the numerous meals she cooked for them.

Lena was a prominent figure at Jervis Library having worked there for several years.

She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Louis) Campola and Paula (Robert) Wells; five grandchildren, Tracey D'Amore Burris, Tari Lynn D'Amore Orton, Amy Burns, Amanda Bevilacqua and Brian Wells; great-grandchildren, Adam and Shawn Burris, Christopher and Carmen Orton, Addison Burns, Antonio and Angelo Bevilacqua, Brennan, Alexander and Julian Wells; a sister Mary Parry; a son-in-law, Anthony M. Barkett and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Masucci who passed away on July 11, 1965, a daughter Barbara Jean Barkett; sisters, Felicia Mathalia, Theresa Spadafora, Rose Roselli and a brother Frank Ignazzitto and two special friends, Helen Marucci and Josephine Grasso.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

The family will receive relatives and friends in the Church vestibule on Friday from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the Mass.

Contributions may be made in Lena's memory to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
