Vito Urso

Vito Urso, 97, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at home with his loving family by his side.

He was the son of Leonardo and Rosaria Battaglia Urso. He married Annette M. Santora, a blessed union of 66 years. He retired from PAR Corp. where he had worked for many years.

He enjoyed gardening, reading and playing cards. Family was always first with Vito, a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a role model for his family. He was a life time member of St. John the Baptist Church.

Vito is survived by his beloved family, his dear wife Annette M.; a daughter and son-in-law, Sara M. and Dennis Garland; two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard A. and Myung Urso and Vito T. and Carla Urso; cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Kiersten and Joseph Cometta, Ashley Urso and Paul Jacobi, Vito M. Urso and Thomas P. Urso; great-grandchildren, Emelia Cometta and Beckett Cometta; a sister Catherine Gardner; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at the Church from 12:15 to 1:00 prior to the Mass. There will be no calling hours.
