Dominick J. Amoroso

Dominick James Amoroso, 90, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 with his loving family by his side.

He was born on February 3, 1925 in Rome a son of Jerry and Lucy Ross Amoroso. He was educated in Rome schools and was a graduate of RFA. He was united in marriage to Angeline Raulli on January 29, 1949 in St. John the Baptist Church of which he was a life time member. Angeline passed away on October 6, 2012.

He was the plant accountant of the General Cable Corp., Rome Wire Plant and retired as cost estimator from the Rome Cable Corp. in 1987.

Dominick is survived by his beloved family, a son and daughter-in-law John and Barbara Amoroso of Rome; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine Amoroso and Clifford Frank of Norwich; cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Jim and Jenny Gorski, Jeffrey and Alicia Gorski, Jonathan and Lauren Gorski, Rob and Shelly Donahue, Brian and Darlene Frank and Jeffrey and Christine Frank; great grandchildren, Avianna, Anthony, Dominick, Alexandra, Vincent, Madeline and Jaden Gorski, Tyler and Sarah Donahue, Britney, Brendon, Amber and Charlotte Frank; a great- great- granddaughter Kinley; a brother John Amoroso of East Brunswick, NJ and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law Gregory and Libby Amoroso and a sister-in-law Rose Amoroso.

Dominick will be remembered for his special love for his family. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, golfing, reading and walking.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 in St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
