James Parisi, Jr.

James Parisi, Jr. ("Fuzzy"), 47, of Rome, passed away on February 22, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, as a result of head trauma, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on October 13, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio, where his father was stationed at Lockborn Air Force Base, the son of James and Anna Marie Salvaggio Parisi, Sr. Jimmy attended Transfiguration School and graduated from RFA in 1987.

Jimmy was the co-owner of Parisi's Dugout for eight years with his father James Sr. He was an umpire with the American Softball Association for over fifteen years. He loved baseball, football and NASCAR (Go Jeff Gordon #24). He also enjoyed going to the Country Kitchen for breakfast and OJ's Smoke Shop to socialize with his friends.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church where he had served as an altar boy.

He is survived by his beloved family, his parents James Sr. and Anna Marie; a sister Joanne Parisi-Haugen; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Haugen and the cherished uncle of Marianna and Patrick Haugen. As Jimmy had no children of his own, Marianna and Patrick were his life and who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle". He also had a very special cousin, Angela.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jim's aunt and Godmother Angeline Wickham and to everyone who showed kindness and compassion to Jimmy, as well as the trauma unit of St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St.
