Trotz, Joseph E.

Joseph E. Trotz, 83, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the Bethany Gardens. He was born on August 26, 1930 in Rome, the son of John and Anna Rutkowski Trotz. On August 22, 1964, in St. John the Baptist Church, he married Frances Santoro, a blessed union of 49 years. He was a graduate of RFA, class of 1949. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He, along with his wife, owned and operated Trotz Food Market until his retirement. Joseph is survived by his beloved family; his wife Frances, a daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and George Rothfritz of Lee center, his cherished grandchildren; Steven Rothfritz and Amanda Rothfritz, two sisters and a brother-in-law; Rose Voje of FL and Helen and Chester Grabowski of Fl and a sister-in-law; Mary Trotz of VA. He was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law; John and Marian Trotz and Ted and Laura Trotz, two brothers-in-law; Stanley Voje and Mario Santoro and a sister-in-law; Antoinette Santoro. Funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 at Transfiguration Church for a Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m.
