Alberta Harvey, 87, of Rome passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013. She was born on May 26, 1926 in Rome the daughter of Willard and Irene Parkhurst Cronizer. On July 26, 1947 she married James R. Harvey who passed away on February 6, 2001. She loved cooking, traveling, country music and especially John Wayne movies. She was a member of the Ava Dorfman Senior Citizen Center. Alberta is survived by her beloved family, a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Acey Wilburn, a son Willard "Bill" and Diane Harvey both of Rome, cherished grandchildren, Acey L. and Lillian Wilburn II, James A and Sara Wilburn, Amy Sharpe and Lewis, James R. Harvey, Willard Harvey II and Tiffany, great grandchildren, Crystal Coons, Stephen Wilburn, Jordan Harvey, Wyatt Harvey, James R. Harvey, Alexander Wilburn, Katherine Wilburn, Danny Snyder and Mason Sharpe, two sisters-in-law, Theresa Cronizer and Judy Cronizer, a special niece Irene (Cronizer) Rapasadi and a special friend Pam Harvey. She was predeceased by two brothers, Herbert Cronizer and Everett Cronizer, a son Richard R. Harvey and a grandson Richard "Ritchie" Harvey, II. Funeral services will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 at the Bottini Funeral Home, 120 W. Embargo St. with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 7 prior to the service.
